London Southend Airport Station allows an incredibly convenient way in which to travel to and from London & Essex’s newest Airport. Prior to the opening of the new station, the only way of accessing the new terminal was via Rochford Station, located further away and therefore resulting in a longer train to plane journey. With the new London Southend Airport Station in place, there is a mere fifteen minute journey from train to plane.

London Southend Airport Railway Station, Providing Efficiency And Convenience

Southend Airport Railway Station is situated between Rochford and Prittlewell station. If you plan on using the National Express East Anglia commuter line between Southend Victoria and London Liverpool Street, the stations featured in-between are Prittlewell, Rochford, Hockley, Rayleigh, Wickford, Billericay, Romford, Shenfield and Stratford (for 2012 London Olympic Park).

London Southend Airport Train Station Journeys

Here is a break-down of the train journeys that take place from Platform 1 and Platform 2.

If travelling towards London via platform 1, the tain you will be taking will be heading to London Liverpool Street Station. The stations visited on your journey will be as follows;
Southend Airport – Rochford – Hockley – Rayleigh – Wickford – Billericay – Shenfield – Stratford – London Liverpool St.

If travelling towards Southend Victoria via platform 2, the train you will be taking will be heading to Southend Victoria. The stations visited on your journey will be as follows;
Southend – Airport – Prittlewell – Southend Victoria.

If travelling towards Fenchurch Street Station via platform 2, take the train going to Southend Victoria, exit at Southend Victoria and walk to Southend Central station, board the train going to London Fenchurch St. The Fenchurch St line is run by c2c and takes approximately 55 minutes.

The stations visited on your journey will be as follows; Southend Central – Westcliff – Chalkwell – Leigh-on-Sea – Benfleet (for Canvey Island) – Pitsea – Basildon – Laindon – West Horndon – Upminster – Barking – West Ham – Limehouse – London Fenchurch St.

At peak time there are up to eight trains per hour operating to London Liverpool Street from London Southend Airport. With a journey time of fifty-three minutes to central London’s Liverpool Street Station and forty-four minutes to Stratford Station.
